New Trustees Appointed For Eastland Community Trust
19/07/2010
Two new trustees have been appointed to the Eastland
Community Trust. They are Gisborne Herald managing director
Michael Muir and lawyer Vicki Thorpe.
In announcing their appointment, Mayor Meng Foon said he was
delighted with the choices and the two new trustees would
make a valued contribution to the future of the trust and
the region.

ECT Interim Chairman Appointed
19/07/2010
The Eastland Community Trust has appointed Richard Brooking
as its interim chairman. The chairmanship will be revisited
after the trust's annual general meeting on August 18. Mr
Brooking takes over from retiring chairman Gary Alexander
who served as the chairman for 12 years. Mr Alexander did
not seek re-election for a further term and finished with
the trust on June 30 along with trustee Graham Johnson.

Shaan Stevens – Appointed to the Board

Wellington based businessman Shaan Stevens will officially
begin his new appointment as a director of the Eastland
Group in July. Of Ngati Porou, Ngati Kahungunu and Ngati
Raukawa descent, Shaan spent his formative years at school
in Tolaga Bay and Gisborne and sees this appointment as very
much "coming home".

in June. Incumbent chair Arthur Muldoon retires after
serving as chairman for all Eastland Group companies since
2000 and Michael Andrews retires his directorship - held
since 2003.
